The aim was to score a highly cinematic, emotionally charged film marking the end of the Cassini mission, built entirely from space imagery with constant motion and a clear narrative arc toward impact.
We proposed a fully orchestral approach to match the scale and gravity of the story-strings as the emotional backbone, supported by winds and brass swells to amplify lift, tension, and resolution without tipping into melodrama. Structurally, we mapped tempo and phrasing to the edit, designing distinct musical phases that lock to the film’s transitions: a restrained opening (awe + distance), a progressive build (momentum + discovery), and a final, controlled climax that honors the sacrifice and closure.
The result is a score that feels expansive and human, synchronized tightly to picture and shaped to carry the final descent with maximum narrative impact.
