The
Story

Sonus started the way most real studios do: two people devoted to sound, building a practice through years of writing, producing, and performing. Over time, that dedication grew into screen work, brand worlds, and immersive formats-always with the same focus: make sound mean something.

Between us, we bring over twenty years of professional work across music production and sound design, from international stages to film and campaign briefs. Along the way we’ve earned awards and press recognition, and our music has reached millions of listeners-but what matters most is what the road taught us: taste is earned, deadlines are real, and details are everything.

Gunsal Moreno

His work has reached audiences worldwide through projects for Netflix, Amazon, Google, ESPN, Nike, Volkswagen, Dove, and Vueling, among others.

He has released seven albums and four film and video-game scores, generating over 25 million streams across digital platforms. His work has received awards for Best Artist and Best Electronic Album of 2016 & 2020 from several global music media, Best Electronic Song of 2014, Best Videoclip of 2015 and Best Spanish Producer of 2017 from the Spanish Record Label Association.

At Sonus, he turns creative direction into original music—leading composition, production, and supervision from first idea to final delivery.

Marc Fernández

Sound Design · Sonic Identity · Strategy

Marc's work is rooted in synthesis and sound design — a technical depth that informs everything from brand worlds to sonic identities. He spent five years as Head of A&R at HYPH alongside CEO Andreas Carlsson, developing a unique understanding of how sound travels across formats, moods, and markets.

A touring artist, multi-instrumentalist, with festival appearances worldwide, Marc has released nine studio albums and received the Best Spanish Electronic Music Album award in 2020 and the Best New Irish Project award in 2026. His music and sound design have also featured in sync placements with Netflix, BBC, RTÉ, and Converse, among others.

At Sonus, he translates his technical and curatorial background into sound identities that give brands a distinctive voice across every touchpoint.

Audio Branding / Sonic Identity

A sonic identity is more than one asset. It’s a palette-themes, textures, harmony, rhythm, and tone-built so the identity stays recognisable across channels, formats, and moments.

Sound Logo & Audio Mnemonics

The fastest cue of identity. Short, precise, and designed for recall-often becoming the anchor that everything else can grow from.

Sonic Strategy

We define the creative territory: what the sound should feel like, what it should avoid, and how it should evolve-so every new piece stays on-brief and on-character.

Guidelines & Delivery Systems

We document the “how”: when to use what, how to vary it, how to version it, and how to keep it coherent when different teams touch the work.

Audio Research & Testing

When needed, we validate fit and recall with lightweight testing-so key creative decisions can be defended, repeated, and scaled with confidence.

Sonus-Studio-08

Bespoke Composition

Original music that carries narrative-whether it’s a film arc, a 30-second campaign, a game loop, or a space that needs its own atmosphere.

Sound Design

We design the details that make an experience believable: transitions, texture, movement, and space-always in service of pace and emotion.

Sonic UX/UI & Interaction

Functional audio that makes products feel clearer and more responsive-feedback cues, notifications, transitions, and micro-interactions that guide the user.

Sound & Haptics

Sound and touch work best together. Rhythm and texture become the language of interaction-especially when the screen disappears and feel matters most.

AI-Assisted Benchmarking

Voice is part of identity now. We help define tone, pacing, and sonic cues around voice experiences-supported by AI-assisted benchmarking to scan references, map sonic territories, and avoid the obvious.

“Such a conceptual statement seems completely natural for him… [and] demonstrates the expressiveness of his style and his sure-footedness as a producer.”

- Beverly Bryan | Remezcla, New York

“There’s a sense of atmosphere… that we aren’t hearing anywhere else right now.”

- Dan Carter | Dancing Astronaut, LA

“It’s cosmic, celebratory and sounds like little else out there.”

- Kiki Toao | Sinchi Collective, Amsterdam

“His music is essentially cutaneous… until it filters into the listener’s blood.”

- Javier Blánquez · El Mundo (Madrid)

The
Approach

  • I - Listening

Context first. We map the project’s intent, audience, and where the sound will actually live (campaign, film, product, space). We gather references, define creative boundaries, and translate the brief into a clear sonic direction-so every sound choice has a reason.

  • II - Drafting

We explore routes. Composition sketches, sound palettes, and early prototypes-built quickly, but with musician detail from the start. AI can support speed here (variation, cleanup, adaptation), but the choices stay human: taste, tone, and musical logic.

  • III - Shaping

We tighten the focus. We iterate through feedback, try versions in context, and pressure-test what works (and what doesn’t) across formats-from big screens to small speakers, from a 30” edit to a 2-second cue. When useful, we add lightweight testing to validate recall and fit.

  • IV - Mastering

We finish and package. Final masters, cutdowns, stems, and delivery sets-plus simple guidelines that make future use easy. This is also where we align naming, versioning, and handover, so the sound stays coherent when the project scales or new teams step in.

Sound is everywhere—it shapes how we experience stories, products, spaces, and experiences, and becomes part of what we remember. That’s why we treat sound as a language, creating work that is recognisable, adaptable, and true to the world it belongs to.
