#MakeYourOwn - Campaign

For #MakeYourOwn, we composed and produced the full musical universe for LaMono’s collaboration with Nike SB-covering five short films plus a longer documentary built around the riders’ stories and the shoes they created. Our role was to translate skate culture into a cinematic, emotional language: grunge/emo/rock textures with nostalgic, Mogwai-referencing restraint-guitar-driven, harmonic, and suggestive rather than aggressive.

We leaned on distorted-but-warm guitars, slow-moving drones, and dynamic builds to mirror the edit and character arcs, while keeping the palette raw, human, and scene-authentic.

Across the series, we shaped a consistent identity through motif-based composition, careful pacing, and sound design details that reinforce the skate environment (room tone, movement, friction, impacts) without turning it into hardcore or “dark rock”-so the result feels skater, intimate, and emotionally resonant, perfectly locked to the visuals and the riders’ personalities.
