PDPAOLA commissioned a sound-design-only piece built around a single, highly specific concept: recreate the melody of “Jingle Bells” using only the metallic sonic signature of PDPAOLA jewelry, within the natural ambience of a family Christmas dinner. We treated it as a micro-composition through foley-mapping individual jewelry hits, clinks, slides, and resonances to precise pitches/notes so each sound could function as a “musical” element in the leitmotif, while still feeling organic and tactile.
The process was deliberately surgical: extensive experimentation and targeted recording sessions with high-end microphones and controlled performance techniques to capture multiple articulations per piece (attack, sustain, decay), followed by detailed editing, tuning, timing, and dynamics so the melody reads clearly without breaking realism.
Finally, we designed a cohesive “dinner room” space using subtle room-tone layering and naturalistic reverb to place every metallic note convincingly inside the Christmas table scene-resulting in a playful, premium, and instantly recognizable holiday cue made entirely from jewelry.
